2025Ceremonial commissioning of Pilot SBG & Workshop ‘Renewable LNG in transport’
18. Mar - 18. Mar The DBFZ is hosting a workshop on ‘Renewable LNG in transport’ on 18 March 2025, followed by the ceremonial commissioning of the pilot plant for renewable methane (Pilot-SBG). The transition to a climate-neutral transport system requires the increased use of renewable energy sources. Renewable LNG is a promising option for a sustainable fuel from mobilisable resources. Currently still used in heavy goods transport, it is particularly suitable for shipping in the future. How can LNG be supplied and what advantages does it offer? What do promising plant and supply concepts look like and how can they be promoted? These and related questions will be discussed with the participants of the workshop ‘Renewable LNG in transport - practical experience and accompanying research and development activities for a market ramp-up’. This is part of the InnoFuels project. The workshop will be followed by the ceremonial commissioning of the pilot plant for renewable methane (Pilot-SBG) together with representatives of the Federal Ministry of Digital and Transport on the DBFZ premises. The event will be held in German.
