How can negative emission technologies be established economically in combination with bioenergy? This question will be addressed at the next Bioenergy Talk on 15 January 2026 from 10 to 11 a.m. Markus Lauer (MVV Energie AG) will present analyses on the marketability of CO₂ capture from biogenic sources and highlight the importance of integrating negative emissions into European emissions trading. Bioenergy Talk is a monthly online exchange format on the use of biomass for energy, featuring project presentations followed by discussion. The event will be held in German.

At the 23rd International Conference “Fuels of the Future”, held on 19–20 January 2026 at CityCube Berlin, Dr. Franziska Müller-Langer (DBFZ) will moderate the session “The Long Road to E-Fuels: Successes and Challenges” and present on “Factor 10 by 2050 – Renewable Fuels Between Ambition and Reality”. Under the motto “IGNITE THE TURBO, ACCELERATE RENEWABLY”, experts will discuss pathways to climate-neutral mobility. Early-bird tickets are available until 30 November 2025.
