Online events
We use Zoom X software for online and hybrid events. To ensure that you can successfully participate in our event, we provide you with the answers to the most important questions here.
How do I take part in the online event?
The event will take place via the Zoom X web conferencing system. To take part in the event, you must register via the event participation form. After registering, you will receive your personal dial-in details, which authorise you to take part in the event. After dialling in, you will be taken to a waiting room from where the DBFZ event management will let you enter. If you would like to dial in via your smartphone or tablet, please install the free Zoom app in advance.
You can take part in the event with or without your own Zoom account. Registration is not required (even with the app).
Do I have to register for the event in advance?
In order to participate in our event, registration is mandatory. You can find the registration form on the website for the selected event. Please note that the access data we send you is personal to you and may only be used by you.
What technical requirements are necessary?
To take part in our online event, you need an internet-enabled device (PC, laptop, tablet, smartphone) and a stable internet connection. You can either dial in via the browser or a previously installed app, simply click on the link sent to you. To be able to follow the speakers' presentations, you will need a device with a functioning audio output (speakers, headphones). A webcam and microphone are not required.
Can I switch my camera and microphone on and off during the event?
To avoid overloading the system, your camera and microphone are automatically switched off during the entire event and cannot be switched on by you. Only the speakers' cameras and microphones are switched on.
How can I ask questions during an online event?
The DBFZ event team will be hosting a live chat during the event, which you can use to ask your questions. Depending on the programme item, these will be answered directly in the chat or put to the speaker by the moderator.
