Library

The library of the DBFZ is a special scientific library. The collection focuses on biomass, bioenergy, biogas technology, anaerobic processes, biochemical conversion, biorefineries, processes for chemical bioenergy carriers and fuels, intelligent biomass heating technologies, catalytic emission control, etc.

As a central scientific service institution, the library is responsible for the development, cataloguing and provision of the literature and other information sources required for the fulfilment of the institute's tasks. In addition, the library trains and supports scientists in the use of literature management systems (Citavi), in working in specialist databases and in all questions relating to publications and Open Access.

Online catalogue of the DBFZ library

The complete library collection is currently being catalogued in a separate library catalogue. The catalogue will contain the book stock of the DBFZ since its foundation in 2008 as well as the complete journal stock. Part of the book inventory will also include the documents acquired from the old Institute for Energetics and Environment (IE). The DBFZ catalogue is part of the BMEL catalogue, which is at the same time part of the common union catalogue (GVK).
Online journals

The DBFZ participates in the national licences funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG). Together with the in-house licensed journals, employees are offered access to thousands of journals. A list of the licensed journals can be found in the electronic journal library.
