Field of work

Dr. rer. nat. Friederike Naegeli de Torres is a geographer and resource manager. She holds a doctoral degree in Geography from the University of Leipzig with a focus on applied geoinformatics and remote sensing. Her methodological expertise is in the application of Geographic Information System (GIS), satellite data interpretation and statistical analysis. She has a wide range of international experience abroad and in projects, has been a lecturer in GIS at the University of Leipzig, and has trained in university didactics and e-teaching. She joined the DBFZ since 2020 as a scientist and GIS expert, focusing on the spatial assessment of biomass potentials in a national and international context.
