Preparing Systemic Monitoring of the Bioeconomy in Germany

The SYMOBIO 2PLUS project aims to bridge the gap between research projects focusing on developing new scientific expertise on monitoring needs and tools in the bioeconomy, and official reporting that focuses on regularly collecting robust indicators to map the status and sustainability of the bioeconomy in Germany. The SYMOBIO 2PLUS project therefore focuses on transferring and implementing the most important insights gained in the SYMOBIO 1.0 and 2.0 research projects to create consolidated information for developing such a set of indicators. SYMOBIO 2PLUS aims to pave the way for an official bioeconomy monitoring system in Germany by analysing critical questions regarding its structure, requirements, gaps, needs, and responsibilities.
