Development of a roadmap for sustainable heat generation with biomass in Togo and demonstration of selected technologies along the entire utilization path
The HeRoTogo project aims to create a roadmap for sustainable change in heat generation from biomass in Togo. This is to include both the private and commercial sectors. As a basis, four identified technological pathways are to be demonstrated in Togo; the local production of the APELI stove developed at the DBFZ, the safe and sustainable supply of fuel for these APELI stoves in urban and rural areas, the development and demonstration of a high-temperature burner with carbon capture for ceramic production and the production of sustainable biochar compacts from residual materials.
