Scientific support project for bioenergy research

The objective of the scientific support project for bioenergy research of the funding area 'Energetic utilisation of biogenic residual and waste materials' and the Research Network Bioenergy is to make a significant contribution to the development of the bioenergy research field with a view to the overall system by processing the project results, targeted and strategic networking of the relevant stakeholders and research communication. The transfer of current research results to the market is of particular significance in terms of supporting the acceleration of innovation processes and product launches (technology and innovation transfer). The research results are processed, analysed, bundled and integrated into current discourses on the contribution of bioenergy to cross-sectoral and climate-friendly energy supply along selected core topics and funding policy objectives of the energy research programme. The discourse and feedback with practitioners and relevant experts from different target groups (reality check) takes place via participatory networking activities. Recommendations for action for the targeted orientation of research and development are formulated on the basis of the evaluation of the project results. This is imperative to explore significant innovations and possibilities for the transferability of technologies to other application areas. The dissemination of key messages is targeted towards specific demographic groups, namely the business community, the public sector, scientific and academic circles, political entities, and the general public. The methods and formats of knowledge transfer utilised for this purpose are aligned with contemporary trends and requirements in the domain of information transfer and knowledge acquisition.
