Operational Emissions from Biogas Plants

The project partners aim to describe operational emission sources on biogas plants with regard to their behavior, the emission intensity and the operating conditions. The aim is to investigate emissions from pressure relief valves, since significant climate-relevant emissions can be caused depending on the mode of operation of the plant. Furthermore, the determination of emissions from digestate or slurry storage is to be investigated in order to allow a differentiated assessment. The detection of such diffuse and time-varying emission sources is realized by using two complementary measurement methods.
