Pre-feasibility study for livestock waste management technology options for farmer cooperative level in the Philippines

The Tanmiah Food Company (TFC) is one of the largest producers of poultry meat in Saudi Arabia. The chickens are supplied by 30 breeding farms and around 100 fattening farms. These farms currently produce around 300 tonnes of chicken manure per day, which generates considerable disposal costs. In addition, current disposal methods are not optimal from an ecological point of view and do not fully fulfil future sustainability criteria of the legislator. In the first stage, a pre-feasibility should be carried out on the basis of current market research and with a broad technological focus. In the second stage, promising technologies are to be analysed in detail for feasibility in order to derive investment decisions and proceed to implementation.
