Goals

Advanced renewable methane in Germany:

Accompaniment and support through successful piloting and knowledge transfer

Conception and realization of a pilot plant for the production of renewable methane as a fuel for the transport sector

Creation of a feasibility study for the preparation of the demonstration scale

	Preliminary tests both as batch and as continuous laboratory-scale tests to narrow down optimal process parameters Specific preliminary tests for the process steps in preparation for the commissioning of the pilot plant
	Planning, manufacturing and commissioning of the pilot plant to demonstrate the process chain
	Evaluation of the resource potential for agricultural by-products (straw and cattle manure) as well as urban residues and by-products (biowaste and green waste) in Germany and specifically the mobilizability in the example region Leipzig/Halle/Dessau Accompanying analyses of the general conditions for renewable methane as a fuel in transport, especially with regard to market and location aspects

Closed-loop recycling management: use of available biogenic residual and waste materials (agricultural/urban)
