Before the event
Do I also have to register for the event using the registration form?
Yes, we ask all speakers to also register via the general registration form. This is the only way we can schedule and prepare you for the side events, such as tours, the networking evening or similar, according to your details. Please refer to the event registration form for the costs of participation.
How do I submit my presentation?
Please submit your presentation slides in advance of the event via email to stefanie.foeller@ibvt.uni-stuttgart.de.
Our event management will inform you by email of the exact deadline for submission. We ask that you adhere to the submission deadline to ensure that the event runs smoothly. Your slides will be uploaded centrally on the day of the event and managed by the event management team during your presentation. You will be given on-site access to the speaker mode and a presenter to control the slides.
What format should the slides be in?
Please send us your presentation preferably in PowerPoint format. Alternatively, we also accept PDF files.
Can I use my own laptop?
In principle, we provide the technology and play your presentation from our devices. The use of your own laptop is possible by prior arrangement.
Do you need information about me?
Yes. We ask for a short CV for the introduction and for the presentation on our website. You have the option of presenting yourself on our website with a portrait photo and a short introductory text (max. 400 characters including spaces). In addition, we would also like to present selected speakers on our social media channels (LinkedIn & Instagram: @dbfz_events).
Please let us know whether and to what extent you agree to publication. You will find the corresponding consent form in the download area of these speaker FAQs.

Purpose of processing:
Presentation of the speakers as part of the event promotion and information for participants via the website www.dbfz.de and social media platforms
(the DBFZ's LinkedIn and Instagram channels) as well as promotion of individual contributions via the social media platforms
Duration of publication:
The data will be published on the website for a maximum of 4 weeks after the end of the event and then deleted. Posts on social media remain visible in the respective channel.
Revocation:
Your consent is voluntary and can be revoked at any time with effect for the future. In this case, the content will be removed promptly.
Arrival and accommodation
Are travel or accommodation costs covered?
Unfortunately, we cannot cover travel expenses. There are no plans to cover or subsidize costs.
Are there any hotel recommendations?
Please refer to our overview of suitable hotels, which you can find >> here. There are no hotel contingents available.
On the day of the event
When and where does the check-in for speakers take place?
Please report to the central registration desk at least 30 minutes before your presentation. There you will be forwarded to the responsible colleagues for speaker support. A short briefing and technical introduction will take place before the start of the event or upon your arrival.
How much time do I have for my presentation?
You will receive information on the planned time slot, including time for questions and comments, from our event management team in advance. A moderator will accompany the event.
Is there a retreat area for speakers?
Please inform our event management team if you require a quiet area.
Will catering be provided?
Yes, drinks and food will be provided during the event.
When will my presentation take place?
The schedule for the day of the event can be found on the website under the “Program” tab.
After the event
Will the presentation slides be published?
If you agree, your approved presentation slides will be made available for download on our event website. Please send us the completed and signed release form for this purpose. You can find the form for this in the download area of the speaker FAQ. It is also possible to decline publication - please inform us informally in this case.
Will I receive a confirmation of participation?
If required, we will be happy to issue you with a confirmation of participation.
Is there an evaluation?
Yes. After the event, we will send you a short feedback form by e-mail.
