Get in touch Session

In our Get in touch session, we give you the opportunity to discuss important key topics related to doctoral studies with your peers and attending professors. This offers you another opportunity to make new contacts.

 

Networking evening

(10 September 2025 | 6:30 pm)

After the first day of the event, we invite our participants to end the day with good food, music and company.  You can use this time to connect and follow up on topics of the day.

Participation in our networking evening is included in the conference fee.

 

Guided Tours

(12 September 2025 | 08:30 am)

As part of the 8th Doctoral Colloquium BIOENERGY AND BIOBASED PRODUCTS, you will have the opportunity to go on various site visits and see facilities for up-to date bio-economy R&D. You will have the chance to visit the following institutions and discuss there with leading scientist.

  1. The laboratories of the Fraunhofer Institute for Interfacial Engineering and Biotechnology (IGB)
  2. The Biorefinery Technical Center of the Institute of Agricultural Engineering of the University of Hohenheim and
    The Research Biogas Plant of the University of Hohenheim. (both in Eningen)

Please note that you can only take part in one of the two guided tours. Please make your choice in advance on the registration form.

We gather at 08:30 am in front of the conference venue and leave 9:00 (sharp) for the visits. For the visit to the Hohenheim research site in Eningen a bus is charted that will pick you up and brings you back in time.

The return is scheduled for 1:00 pm at the University Campus in front of the conference venue. Please organize for your lunch on your own. The university mensa is open and around the corner.
