Projekt focus

Subproject 1:

  • Development of a homogeneous, storable fuel based on pre-dewatered sewage sludge
  • Optimization of emissions as well as storage and handling properties through the use of blending agents and targeted addition of minerals

Subproject 2:

  • Burner development for clean, efficient and complete combustion
  • Considerations regarding the recovery of phosphorus from the ash
  • Utilization of waste heat for the pre-drying of sewage sludge and for its integration into the actual purification and treatment process
