Make the most of your time in Leipzig and join us for an exclusive pre-colloquium workshop on the day before the Doctoral Colloquium.

Would you like to define the impact your research can create – and communicate it in a way that truly resonates, even beyond the scientific community? This hands-on workshop introduces you to the key elements of storytelling and pitching, and guides you in applying them directly to your own research.

In an interdisciplinary group of PhD candidates and postdocs, you will develop your personal scientific story and pitch – and receive valuable feedback from experts and peers who share your ambition to innovate.

What you will learn:
Storytelling

• Fundamentals of storytelling and storytelling frameworks
• Defining your research impact and creating your protagonist
• Techniques for captivating, memorable communication
• Writing and narrating your own scientific story

Pitching

• Building a convincing and compelling pitch
• Developing and practising your individual pitch storyline
• Pitching in front of an expert jury
