International Lunch

DBFZ has steadily increased its international reputation since its foundation in 2008. This is reflected not only in the numerous projects abroad but also in the growing number of guest scientists, post-docs, doctoral, master or bachelor students, student assistants and even staff with international background. Thus, the main idea of the International Lunch is to have a gathering of all DBFZ employees who are interested in global affairs and who will share some of their international experiences.

Normally, there is a presentation on cultural, historical and geographical particularities of a country or region. Sometimes the lecturers share experiences, intriguing stories or show some fascinating art work from their home country or a business trip. But the main part is, indeed, a lunch with traditional global diet. This could be finger food, local specialties or culinary delicacies from distant countries. All dishes are presented – and then tested together.

In this way fun, exchange and learning from others merge together.
