7th CMP 2027 – International Conference on Monitoring and Control in Biomass Conversion Processes
23–24 March 2027 | DBFZ, Leipzig (Germany)
We are pleased to invite you to the 7th CMP 2027, the international conference dedicated to monitoring and control Control in Biomass Conversion Processes. The event will take place on 23–24 March 2027 at the Deutsches Biomasseforschungszentrum (DBFZ) in Leipzig and is jointly organized by DBFZ, FH Münster, and Hochschule Zittau/Görlitz.
Biomass conversion encompasses a broad spectrum of complex biological, chemical, and thermochemical processes with interacting pathways and challenging operational conditions. At the same time, requirements for biomass conversion systems are evolving in response to regulatory frameworks, sustainability targets, and increasing demands for security of supply. To enhance the efficiency, reliability, and economic viability of these processes, precise monitoring and effective control are essential.
With the growing need for flexibility in substrates, energy and material provision, and polygeneration, the challenges for operation, monitoring and control are increasing across all dimensions. Novel and optimized process monitoring and control systems are needed to further improve the performance of anaerobic digestion.
CMP 2027 will highlight:
- requirements and advances in measurement tools,
- best practices from plant operation, and
- practically implemented applications as well as new monitoring and control devices.
The conference offers stakeholders across the bioeconomy sector the opportunity to connect, exchange experience, and learn about the latest solutions for optimizing biomass conversion—from international experts and peers.
Please note: 7th CMP was originally announced for 2025, but due to capacity constraints we were only able to schedule it for 2027. As organisers, we are all the more excited to welcome you to Leipzig in 2027 and to bring the CMP community together again.
More information (call for abstracts, registration, programm etc.) will follow.
For now: mark your calendar 23 till 24 March 2027!
