Data protection declaration

As per 17/10/2018

We take the protection of your data seriously and inform you on request what data we collect and how we use it. In addition, we have taken technical and organisational measures to ensure that the regulations on data protection in accordance with the Basic Data Protection Regulation (EU DSGVo) in force from 25 May 2018 are observed.

Personal Information

The use of the services on the DBFZ website is generally possible without providing sensitive, i.e. personal data. If the entry of personal or business data (e-mail addresses, names, addresses, etc.) is required within the Internet offer, in particular for forms for participation in events, we would like to point out that this data is used exclusively for the processing of organisational processes within the framework of the event (e.g. participant lists, name tags, invoicing, etc.). Your data will be processed by us according to the European data protection regulations, the Federal Data Protection Act BDSG and the Telemedia Act TMG. This means that your data will not be passed on to third parties without your express consent. Other personal data entered via online forms will also be used exclusively for the stated purpose, e.g. to send specific newsletters or to respond to your request. You have the possibility to object to the storage of your data at any time. Please send an e-mail to datenschutz(at)dbfz(dot)de.

Communication by e-mail or form

Please note that communication by e-mail or online form can have security gaps. E-mails can be stopped and read by Internet users with extended programming knowledge on their way to the employees of the DBFZ. If the DBFZ receives an e-mail from you (e.g. via a contact form), it is assumed that we are also entitled to reply by e-mail. In this context, we would like to point out that by submitting a form via the DBFZ website (including project pages), the following user-related data is transferred: Referer domain, referer URL, visitor's country, possibly use of mobile device, website language, browser language and page views that led to this mail (pagefunnel).

Website analysis using server log files and cookies

The DBFZ website uses Webalizer web statistics. When you access our website, the access data are recorded in a log file (server log file) and stored for security reasons for at least three months and a maximum of six months in order to ensure the general functionality of the services and to be able to trace them in the event of attacks. The following data is stored for each access: IP address of the Internet service provider, time stamp, call method, URL called, protocol, server status response, scope of data transmitted to the inquirer, reference URL, browser specification (type/version), error messages, if applicable.

Personal user profiles are expressly not created; personal data will not be passed on to third parties for commercial or non-commercial purposes. The data from the log file is not merged with any other stored data that may result from the provision of personal data in the context of further offers on this website. When you visit our website, so-called “cookies” are stored on your computer. The information generated by the cookie is made completely anonymous and used exclusively to improve the internet presence and the server. Currently, the following session cookies are set via the domain www.dbfz.de, which are limited exclusively to editor accesses.

The session cookie used is deleted when the session is ended, i.e. when you close the browser window or open another page. You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser.

Social Media (Flickr)

Individual pages (project pages) use a link to the online picture service Flickr. When you visit the corresponding page, a connection to Yahoo's servers is established and the Yahoo server is informed of which of our pages you have visited. If you are logged into your Yahoo account, you allow Yahoo to associate your surfing behavior directly with your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your Yahoo account. For more information, see Flickr's privacy policy: http://info.yahoo.com/privacy/de/yahoo/flickr/

Server

The server on which our website is hosted is located on the DBFZ. Your stored data is therefore located in Germany and is subject to European and national data protection law.

Imprint

The use of the contact data published within the scope of the imprint obligation by third parties for sending unsolicited advertising and information material is hereby expressly prohibited. The operators of these pages expressly reserve the right to take legal action in the event of unsolicited advertising information being sent, for example in the form of spam mails.

Right to information

As a user of the Internet offer provided by the DBFZ, you have the right to obtain information about the type and scope of storage connected with your visit to the Internet site in accordance with §§ 19-20 Bundesdatenschutzgesetz (BDSG) and Art. 15 EU-DSGVo at any time. The information is free of charge for you and is provided upon request within the scope of your interest in information. Please contact the data protection officer of datenschutz(at)dbfz(dot)de.

Video surveillance on the company premises

On the premises of the DBFZ a permanent video surveillance is used in the outdoor area also during the operating hours. Acoustic surveillance does not take place. The surveillance is indicated by clearly visible signs.

Video surveillance takes place within the legal limits, in particular the EU General Data Protection Regulation (EU-DSGVO). The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 f) EU-DSGVO. The purpose of surveillance is to safeguard the legitimate interests of DBFZ, in particular the protection of domestic rights, the investigation of perpetrators, the prevention of burglaries, vandalism and other criminal offences.

The planned retention period is five days. A longer storage period shall only take place if the data is required to preserve evidence due to a concrete incident. The deletion takes place immediately as soon as the data is no longer necessary to achieve the purpose. An evaluation of the recordings by visual inspection only takes place for the specified purposes in the presence of a works council member and the data protection officer.

Your rights as data subject

You have the right to request information about which personal data about you are stored by us and for what purpose (Art. 15 EU-DSGVO). In addition, you have the right to rectification or erasure and to restriction of processing (Art. 16, 17, 18 EU-DSGVO). You have the right to object to the processing (Art. 21 EU-DSGVO). In the event of a justified objection, we will cease processing your personal data. Finally, you have the right to data portability (Art. 20 EU-DSGVO). In addition, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority about the processing of your personal data by us if you are of the opinion that the processing violates data protection provisions.
