Uta Schmieder has been working in policy consulting at the DBFZ since 2019. After studying meteorology in Leipzig, she specialised in renewable energies. For a long time, she lived and worked at the interface between renewable energies, climate protection and agriculture in an international context in various European and African countries. Her private commitment to agriculture and horticulture now also influences her professional work. In her projects and contributions, she pays special attention to feasibility and practical relevance.
A monitoring programme regularly examines the effectiveness of the Renewable Energy Sources Act. In the current evaluation report, previously unutilised potential for flexibilisation was identified in collaboration with the DBFZ.
