We can be reached!

May, 20 2020

Dear colleagues, friends, project partners and visitors,

The current corona crisis also poses a number of challenges for us as a research centre. Events have to be cancelled or postponed, half of the staff is in telework and the general duty of care in dealing with fellow human beings requires our full attention.

The health of our employees and also your health is our top priority. For this reason, against the background of the current tightened curfew and on the instructions of our ministry, we have decided not to conduct any guided tours for visitors until further notice. Project meetings are possible in our large seminar room with single tables and distance with up to 20 participants.

The DBFZ does not require masks on the premises. However, due to the cramped working conditions, the technical area of the Thermochemical Conversion department (building 4) is subject to compulsory masks for employees and visitors.

We would like to inform you that we currently have neither an acute case of illness nor a suspected case at the DBFZ. It is therefore guaranteed that the most important experiments and work in the DBFZ laboratories can be completed or continued. This means that our projects will be further processed.

Nevertheless, we kindly ask for your understanding in case of delays or difficulties in contacting the DBFZ. We can be reached, but a large number of colleagues have diverted their telephones. If you cannot reach individual colleagues directly by telephone, please send an e-mail. Our office is also permanently manned and can be reached via phone (+49 (0)341 2434-112) and eMail.

Should the current situation change significantly, we will inform you here about further developments.

Please take care of yourself and your colleagues and stay healthy!

Michael Nelles & Daniel Mayer

General Management of the DBFZ
